And I have also used it to cover journals or other fun hardbound notebooks. Makes for nice gifts and I love using them myself. I was surprised at the quality of the prints I got. I don't think it is as good as my fine art paper, but certainly good enough for what I am using it for. I'm hoping you can answer a few key questions...

* Have you compared to Lexjet Peel-N-Stick (a very similar product), particularly color fidelity?

* Any thoughts on the 150gsm/6mil Artpeel vs 170gsm7mil Artpeel Blackout? Unclear when Blackout is needed (hopefully not on a white wall - no bleed)? I haven't been able to find any photos of how "see through" one is vs the other.

* I downloaded Artpeel icc from BC, but they don't have a profile for Blackout, so hard to compare color fidelity as well (which I'd expect some differences given their differences in opacity and whiteness)

* Also downloaded PhotoPeel, which has hugely more gamut, but they only have the Gloss icc, not the Matte. Have you compared ArtPeel to PhotoPeel.

* Have you worked out how to do borderless with this on Canon P2000 (I have P4000) and am trying to do a 12' x 40' in vertical strips and it would be a PAIN to trim two 12' edges * 42 panels!

* Have you compared recent versions of uprezzing? ON1 Resize 2018 to Photoshop CC's new "Preserve Details 2.0" uprezzing, or Photozoom 7.1?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06368219418273917306noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826231802859523569.post-84355458969800363072018-04-19T15:17:12.894-07:002018-04-19T15:17:12.894-07:00I also think Art Peel is a great product, much bet...I also think Art Peel is a great product, much better than PhotoTex. But were you bothered at all but the texture of the wall showing through? I didn't try the Blackout product and that might be thick enough to offset the stipple that shows up on most sheet rocked walls when you adhere a glossy product to the wall.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09410418703855733926noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826231802859523569.post-11643663848490663262018-04-16T17:29:37.650-07:002018-04-16T17:29:37.650-07:00Hi James,

Your blog has been incredibly useful in my decision making and as a result I've scrapped my plans to get a Canon 7D Mk II and am planning to buy the D750. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on a lens (or lenses) that would be good entry point for wildlife photography. Not talking about telephoto lens for something 400 meters away, but a decent zoom up into the trees and still snap a sharp photo. That being said, I'm also looking for a good midrange lens good for portraits/other close ups. Do you think there's a single lens I can buy right now that could accomplish both these tasks or would it be better to buy two lenses? Hoping to keep it relatively cheap... Thinking about the NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6G lens right now curious what your thoughts are. Thanks for making this blog! Very informative :)

Best,
Bryan Bryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13956615067099741835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826231802859523569.post-81387897588582859332018-02-20T07:58:42.660-08:002018-02-20T07:58:42.660-08:00Hello Rob,

The colors on Legacy Fibre are somewhat muted when compared to the same test image printed on both Hot Press Bright and Hot Press Natural. In the event I was printing the Legacy Fibre upside down I tried again and had the same duller results (and a bad color shift, so I know my original orientation was correct!). Have you noticed the same results when you compare these papers? (BTW, I am printing on a P800.)

And while I'm here, I'd like to say Thank You for providing the rest of us with this excellent series of articles. It's been a great help while navigating through these papers. I have an A7r2 and an A9 and like them both a lot. I’m skipping the A7r3 while hoping for an A9r. The A9 is so responsive with good ergonomics and fast it is really fun to shoot. It has become my go to camera for every day shooting.

For fun, I’m experimenting with using jpegs instead of RAWS and results are very good so far. I can believe your comments about the A7r3 besting some medium format gear as the dynamic range of Sony sensors is terrific and with the best lenses the detail is there.
