Since 1080p video only requires a 2MP image (i.e, 1920x1080 = 2,073,600), sRAW (at 1936 x 1288 on the 1DM3 - even more on modern cameras) will still be throwing away pixels to downsize to 1080p.

The exception to this would be if you are targeting 4k displays but even that's only going to be most noticeable when viewed on screens > 55". With most videos being played on computer displays and TV's at 55" or smaller, sRAW is more than enough pixels. ronmartblog.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06815090271742112506noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826231802859523569.post-69692117046422425902013-07-13T00:44:16.197-07:002013-07-13T00:44:16.197-07:00Hey there Ron- nice article, I used to use sraw qu...Hey there Ron- nice article, I used to use sraw quite a bit for making timelapses as it is a much more manageable file size but still gives you enough elbow room for pushing in or panning around. Just thought I'd throw that out there. Have a good one champ!nate parkerhttp://nateparkerphotography.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5826231802859523569.post-71636316630448874912013-07-11T07:47:25.866-07:002013-07-11T07:47:25.866-07:00Thanks, I'll try small RAW with my 5D3. It is always good to experiment and try new things.bgoodnoreply@blogger.com
