Last month I announced a giveaway to win a free Think Tank Photo bag. I’m pleased to announce that due to such stiff competition that I’ve awarded two winners. Here’s the winning entries with before (mouse over) and after (mouse out):
Congrats to first place winner Tim Pursall from the UK who won with this great entry. When you hover over the photo above you can see what a difference there is between the before and after. More importantly, when you read the article you can see what a huge difference it makes using some of the great plug-ins mentioned on this blog!
There were so many great entries that I decided to also award Ed Beck a 2nd place award for his entry shown above with before and after results.

Congratulations Tim, I love your example of taking a dull image and making it pop. I'd be very interested in seeing a step-by-step of how you used Photomatrix to tone map.

Hey Ed! Great job with your image! Well done. Thanks for the comment. If you click on the Photomatix screen grab you should be able to make out the settings. Five brackets of -2, -1, 0, +1, +2. I may try to do a video walkthrough if I am feeling brave enough one day!
